Fall Festival at Haven Plaza

All are invited to enjoy live jazz, free warm soup*, and the Great Pumpkin Giveaway!* Food drive donations will be accepted. Take a Break to release body tension and stress. CUIMC results from the CU Steppin' Through History Step Challenge will be announced and prizes will be distributed to CUIMC facuty and staff winners.

Schedule of Events

8AM- 4PM

Shop at the Fort Washington Greenmarket

The outdoor farmers' market brings local foods and health education to patients, employees, students and the community. To learn more about the farmers market, you may visit the GrowNYC website

11AM- 3PM

The Great Pumpkin and Squash Giveaway (while supplies last)

Options to include: sugar and cheese pumpkins; or kabocha, delicata, spaghetti, honeynut and butternut squash. While supplies last.

Free Warm Soup (while supplies last)

Options to include: Lentil soup with squash (vegan and gluten-free) and sweet potato pumpkin soup (vegetarian and gluten-free)

Food Drive Collection hosted by CUIMC Goverment and Community Affairs

All unexpired & non-perishable food items are welcome. The following items are especially appreciated:

  • Grains: Brown Rice/Oatmeal/Pasta
  • Beans: Dry/Canned
  • Cooking Oil: Olive/Canola
  • Canned: Cranberry Sauce, Fruits(unsweetened), Tomatoes, Soup, Vegetables, Tuna

Take a Break: Stretch and Reset Session 

Led by by the University’s Ergonomist, Kevin Myers, each session starts with stretches aimed to lengthen and restore muscles, followed by guided imagery meditation to relax the mind and body. After participating, you will feel renewed with with relaxed muscles and a new perspective as you take on the day. Registration is not required. Bring a friend. Participants can check-in at the CU Office of Work/Life table on Haven Plaza.

Steppin' Through History: CU Step Challenge Awards Presentation for CUIMC faculty and staff winners

CUIMC Awards and Prizes: For CUIMC faculty and staff

  • ​Challenge MVP- participant with the highest step count at the end of the challenge (regardless of team) 
  • Team High Steppers- the participant with the highest total step count on each team (excluding challenge MVP)  
  • Step Contributor Raffle- any participant contributing steps during the challenge will be entered in a raffle to win a prize (3 prizes total)
