Columbia Nursing conducts innovative and rigorous research to build an evidence base for interventions promoting health and well-being across the lifespan.

Our research program covers various areas, including biobehavioral and -omics research, data science, high-risk and underserved populations, LGBTQ health, models of health care delivery, palliative care, patient safety, and quality, prevention, primary and comprehensive care, symptom science and management, and urban and global health. Researchers aim to develop effective nursing assessment, intervention, and evaluation strategies, maximize the positive impact of nursing care, and address key knowledge gaps in various healthcare areas.
