50 Haven Athletic Center offers membership options for eligible members of the CUIMC community who want convenient access to fitness, recreation, and wellness resources on campus. Review the information below to learn who is eligible, compare membership options, and understand current rates before joining or renewing your membership.

Eligibility

Employees

Only the following employees are eligible for HAC membership:

CUIMC faculty, officers, or staff
Post-doctoral research fellows
CUIMC Alumni
New York-Presbyterian employees
New York State Psychiatric Institute employees
Audubon Biomedical Science and Technology Park employees
The Lasker Biomedical Research Building
Roy and Diana Vagelos Education Center

Students and Alumni

All CUIMC students and alumni are eligible and have access to use the athletic center.

Membership Packages

June 30 to July 30: No membership sales
Full Year Membership: $685 (8/5/25 to 6/30/26)
Half-year
- 10/6 to 12/22: $375
- 8/4/25 to 12/21/25: $375*
- 1/5/26 to 6/30/26: $375*
Main campus student $685/$375 (full year/half year)
Student Spouse
- 1 year: $295
- ½ year: $165
Member Spouse/Partner: Equal to Member’s membership package fee
Alumni: $685
Retirees: Same as regular membership

Reimbursement Policy

As a condition of my participation in the Haven Athletic Center activities at Columbia University, Irving Medical Center Campus, and my use of the Center facilities in connection therewith, I agree and acknowledge that neither the trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York nor its officers, agents or employees (the “University”) shall have any liability to me or my heir or legal representatives as a result of my loss, injury or damage incurred or suffered by me in connection with my participation in the Haven Athletic Center at Columbia University, Irving Medical Center and my use of the University’s facilities in connection therewith.

I understand that all membership and service sales are final and there are no reimbursements or refunds associated with my membership unless I am no longer affiliated with the University and/or have an approved medical absence. If you believe an exception applies to you please email athleticcenter@cumc.columbia.edu to have your case reviewed individually. If you are no longer in need of the facility due to a medical absence you must email with proper documentation from your physician to the Athletic Center within the month of your doctor's recommendations. The Haven Athletic Center reserves the right to revoke and/or terminate membership at any time and/or deny reimbursements appeal.
