LGBTQ+ Initiatives
The CUIMC Office of Faculty Professional Development, Diversity & Inclusion collaborates with CUIMC faculty and groups to support the needs of its LGBTQ+ community. Through special lectures, workshops, facilitated mentoring opportunities, resources, and networking initiatives, the Office aims to promote a more affirming, diverse, and inclusive environment.

Peer Mentoring Series for LGBTQ+ Faculty
The Office of Faculty Professional Development, Diversity & Inclusion facilitates a regular peer mentorship program designed to support the academic needs of CUIMC's LGBTQ+ faculty community. The Center for Gender and Sexuality Law at Columbia Law School's mission is to formulate new approaches to complex issues facing gender and sexual justice movements.
The School of Nursing’s Center for Sexual and Gender Minority Health Research (CSGMHR) works to improve the health and lives of sexual and gender minority people by helping to close gaps in knowledge, reduce health disparities, and improve the quality of life for current and future generations of SGM people.
The Program for the Study of LGBT Health promotes the health and wellness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and communities through the key areas of research, clinical practice, education, and innovative policy development.
The Lambda Health Alliance provides a supportive space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people at Columbia University Irving Medical Center by organizing social events, panel discussions, lectures, and film festivals.
