David Ho Delivers CUIMC Grand Rounds on NYC's COVID Variants

The four deans of the schools at Columbia University Irving Medical Center launched the CUIMC Grand Rounds with an inaugural presentation March 1.

David D. Ho, MD, the Clyde’56 and Helen Wu Professor of Medicine at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and director of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center and the Wu Family China Center, delivered the inaugural Grand Rounds, titled “Increased Resistance of New Circulating SARS-CoV-2 Variants to Antibody Neutralization."

The Grand Rounds, which will provide a forum for formal scholarly exchanges across schools and disciplines at the medical center, will be held quarterly.

The next CUIMC Grands Rounds will be April 22. The presentation, “Pandemic Preparedness: A Public Health Perspective,” will be given by Wafaa El-Sadr, MD (Mailman School of Public Health and VP&S); W. Ian Lipkin, MD (Mailman and VP&S); and Jeffrey Shaman, PhD (Mailman).
