New VP&S Faculty

The VP&S Office of Faculty Affairs has provided this list of full-time faculty who joined the medical school in September 2025:


  • Stanley Abraham, DO, Medicine
  • Oluwakemi Balogun, MD, Psychiatry: Balogun is a reproductive psychiatry fellow with professional interests in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, and health care disparities. 
  • Federico Ciardi, MBBS, Anesthesiology: Ciardi is a critical care anesthesiologist who focuses on perioperative medicine and patient optimization for high-risk surgery. His research experience includes designing and implementing multimodal prehabilitation for esophageal and gastric cancer patients. Ciardi is also an advocate for sustainable health care.
  • Eliza Decroce Movson, MD, Psychiatry
  • Nattaly E. Greene, MD, Orthopedic Surgery: Greene is a member of the Adult Hip & Knee Reconstruction team with expertise in the latest techniques for total and partial knee replacement, total hip replacement, and complex revision joint replacement surgery. Her research focuses on improving patient outcomes in joint replacement, with a particular interest in young adult hip issues such as dysplasia, as well as access, health disparities, and global health.
  • Jessica M. Haddad, MD, Psychiatry: Haddad is board-certified in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry and works in the Comprehensive Psychiatry Emergency Program. Her clinical focus includes first-episode psychosis and mania. Her research interests include suicide prevention on school campuses and expanding OnTrack's familiarity in working with minors with psychosis.
  • Adeolu Ilesanmi, MD, Psychiatry: Ilesanmi is double board-certified in general psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry and sees patients in the Ambulatory Care Network of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry across various sites, including the CHONY outpatient clinic, the School-Based Mental Health Program, and the Integrated Mental Health Program.
  • Mahnoor A. Khan, DO, Medicine
  • Wai Lee, MD, Urology: Wai is dual board-certified in urogynecology & reconstructive pelvic surgery (URPS) and in urology with a clinical focus in pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, neurogenic bladder, urethral diverticula, and vaginal fistulae. His research has centered around novel approaches to neuromodulation, health care disparities, and recurrent UTIs.
  • Tarub S. Mabud, MD, Radiology: Mabud is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist who performs minimally invasive, image-guided therapies for cancer, musculoskeletal pain, venous disorders, hepatobiliary and portal venous disease, and men’s and women’s health issues such as benign prostatic hyperplasia and uterine fibroids. His research leverages large-scale bioinformatics, public health, and epidemiological techniques to answer fundamental questions in interventional radiology aimed at improving treatment safety, efficacy, and cost.
  • Maksim Mamonkin, PhD, Pediatrics: Mamonkin’s research focuses on the immunobiology of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and the development of new cellular therapies for malignant and non-malignant diseases. He has previously pioneered CAR-T cell therapies for T-cell malignancies. In his new laboratory within the Columbia Initiative in Cell Engineering and Therapy, he will continue to advance CAR-T cell therapies for relapsed and refractory T-cell malignancies and develop novel engineered T-cell strategies for pediatric cancers—including leukemias, lymphomas, brain tumors, and other high-risk solid tumors.
  • Marissa B. McCay, MD, Orthopedic Surgery: McCay is a primary care sports medicine doctor who specializes in the medical management of musculoskeletal injuries and sport-related concussion. She has a strong clinical interest in stress injuries and overuse injuries in children.
  • Jiaxi Miao, MBBS, Medicine: Miao is an instructor in medicine with professional interests in quality improvement and medical education.
  • Ali Moghaddamjou, MD, Neurosurgery: Moghaddamjou is a neurosurgeon with an interest in spine surgery. His research looks at clinical prediction models of spinal cord injury and the conduct of clinic trials.
  • Deep Patel, MD, Dermatology: Patel is a board-certified dermatologist whose clinical interests include skin of color dermatology, with a focus on inflammatory hair loss conditions and pigmentary disorders. His research interests center on quality improvement, patient safety, and the business of medicine.
