VP&S Strategic Planning Phase II: Nominations Open

Dear Colleagues:

Following my earlier message on Phase I findings of the VP&S Strategic Planning process, I am excited to formally kick off Phase II by sharing the top priorities and inviting your participation in our working groups. Detailed descriptions of the process and working groups are included in the VP&S Strategic Planning Phase II report. The overarching goal of these working groups is to propose strategies and specific, actionable steps to advance our shared goals, as identified during Phase I. These groups will collaborate on a proposal to the steering committee that includes recommendations for advancing their designated area in the short, medium, and long term.

Each working group will be comprised of 5-8 members with a mix of tenure and roles and a designated lead. Senior administrative leaders will coordinate these efforts, as organized by mission, and oversee support for each group. Groups will convene four or five times over the summer and early fall, with recommendations due to the strategic planning steering committee in October.

The next step in this process is to identify the members of each working group. I invite you to nominate yourself or a colleague. We anticipate that participation will require about 3-4 hours per month over the next few months.

Thank you for your continued engagement in this process. I look forward to receiving your nominations and continuing the conversation. Until then, thank you for your dedication to making this an incredible place to come to work.

All my best,
