Tesla Donates N-95 Masks to CUIMC

On March 22, a donation of N-95 masks arrived at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) donated by Tesla, the American electric vehicle and clean energy company. Flown from San Francisco to John F. Kennedy International Airport, the masks will protect Columbia clinicians and allied health care professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have thousands of doctors, nurses, and support staff who are on the front lines of this pandemic, taking care of patients," said Donna Lynne, DrPH, senior vice president and chief operating officer, CUIMC, and chief executive officer, ColumbiaDoctors. “Tesla's generosity will help them. We can't thank them enough.”
