Leadership Transition

Dear Colleagues,

It is with mixed feelings that I inform you that Donna Lynne, the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CUIMC and CEO of ColumbiaDoctors, will be leaving us in October to become CEO of Denver Health and Hospital Authority.

Denver Health and Hospital Authority is a regional anchor institution, providing care through school health clinics, ambulatory clinics, and a large level 1 trauma hospital. The Health and Hospital Authority also conducts research and engages in teaching. Donna is returning to Colorado to a role for which she is ideally suited, and the institution she will lead will benefit mightily from her skill and experience.

As you know, Donna has been responsible for a range of critically important administrative and clinical initiatives at CUIMC for the past three and a half years. At Commencement last month, Donna was recognized by the University for her tireless leadership of Columbia’s response to COVID.

There will be ample opportunity before Donna’s departure for us to celebrate her many contributions to CUIMC. For now, I simply want to thank her on behalf of our community for all she has done. We are developing a transition plan that I will soon share with you.

All my best,

Katrina Armstrong, MD
