Interim Chief Information Officer

Dear Colleagues,

Following our recent announcement regarding a leadership transition within CUIMC IT, I am pleased to relay that Jim Bossio, AVP for Infrastructure Services at Columbia University Information Technology, has agreed to serve as interim Chief Information Officer for CUIMC.

Jim has been a valued member of the Columbia community and CUIT since 2014. In this interim role, he will work closely with the CUIMC IT team to ensure the continuation of current projects and services as we undertake a review of campus IT functions in collaboration with CUIT and our partners at NewYork-Presbyterian. Following this review, we will begin a search for a permanent Chief Information Officer to lead CUIMC IT.

As we welcome Jim and begin the review process, I look forward to input from the campus community on how CUIMC IT can best serve your needs in the future. Please allow me to thank both Jim and Gaspare LoDuca, Columbia’s Chief Information Officer, for their assistance and close partnership during this period of transition. Allow me to also thank the entire CUIMC IT team for their continued service to the campus. Their work is indispensable to our operation and we deeply appreciate their continued commitment to the medical center community.

All my best,

William McKoy
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, CUIMC
