Cumc's Silviu Itescu Quoted In Fortune Magazine For Pioneering Work In Stem Cells To Repair Damaged Hearts

Dr. Itescu’s work to implant stem cells to treat damage caused by a heart attack, which to date has shown promising results in animal models, was featured in a Fortune magazine article, “STEM CELLS TO FIX THE HEART. The first blockbuster treatment using stem cells may emerge sooner than most experts dreamed,” by David Stipp, published in the Nov. 29, 2004 issue.
