CUIMC Cake Off Celebrates Year of Anniversaries

The year 2017 marks a number of milestones on campus, and to kick off this special year, CUIMC hosted a cake competition on Jan. 10. Locally baked cakes were judged on taste, appearance, and mission representation of each school.

A panel of judges from the community selected the P&S cake, created by Make My Cake, as the overall winner.

More than 850 faculty and staff also cast votes for their favorite cake. The winner of the popular vote—the College of Dental Medicine's cake from Bizcocho De Colores—received 249 votes.

Second place went to the Mailman School of Public Health's Chocnyc cake (232 votes); P&S took third (195) in a close race with the School of Nursing's cake from Tonnie's Minis (191 votes).

A CUIMC cake was provided by Carrot Top Pastries.
