It’s commencement season at CUIMC and members of the Class of 2021 are celebrating their accomplishments during virtual ceremonies.

On April 29, Mailman School of Public Health hosted its virtual graduation ceremony for 700 members of the Class of 2021. The next day, Columbia University's commencement took place, bringing together graduates from all campuses and schools (watch the webcast). This year’s Presidential Awards for Outstanding Teaching, an annual commencement tradition, honored eight Columbia faculty and graduate student instructors, including Jasmine McDonald, PhD, assistant professor of epidemiology at Mailman School of Public Health, who received a Presidential Award for Outstanding Teaching.

Upcoming Graduation Ceremonies

The celebrations continue in May as the following CUIMC schools host virtual graduation ceremonies:

  • School of Nursing, May 18
  • Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, May 19
  • College of Dental Medicine, May 20
