"Eggs are back!" declared much of the news media, soon after a committee of nutrition experts submitted its recommended changes for the upcoming 2015 edition of the USDA's Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Though it's true that the committee has recommended dropping advice to limit cholesterol intake—a major reason many people have been avoiding eggs—eggs still have plenty of saturated fat and should be eaten in moderation, says David Seres, MD, associate professor of medicine and director of medical nutrition at Columbia University Medical Center.
