Accomplishments of 106 Faculty, Staff, and Students Featured in Latest Issue of CUIMC Celebrates

Nancy Wexler, PhD, the Higgins Professor of Neuropsychology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, will receive the 2019 Double Helix Medal from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in November. The medal recognizes individuals who participate in the fight to find cures for diseases. Wexler will receive the award in recognition of her research leading to the discovery of the Huntington’s disease gene.

Wexler is just one of many individuals at the medical center who have earned a prestigious honor. You can read about the accomplishments of other faculty, staff, and students at Columbia University Irving Medical Center here in the latest issue of CUIMC Celebrates. The issue acknowledges individuals who have received grants, honors, and leadership positions. Celebrates also acknowledges the gifts made by donors and friends of the medical center and highlights faculty who have appeared in the news recently.
