Columbia will periodically provide news and updates on the outside investigation and Survivors' Settlement Fund. See below for updates.

Columbia University is extending the deadline to submit a claim to the Survivors’ Settlement Fund to August 15, 2025 to provide additional time for former patients of Robert Hadden to apply to the fund.

The external investigation is ongoing. When the investigator has completed her investigation, a report of her findings will be released publicly.

Letter to Former Hadden Patients

This notice was sent on November 15 and 16 by postal mail to almost 6,500 former patients, along with emails to any of those patients for whom we have email addresses.
