Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

The Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center includes a physician evaluation and a therapy program. The program combines monitored exercise, education, and psychosocial support, all designed for the specialized needs of our patients with cardiac or pulmonary disease. With your committed participation, we can help you reach your best possible activity level. You will also learn about the newest treatments and prevention strategies for cardiac or pulmonary disorders.

To begin the program, you will need a physician referral and insurance pre-authorization. You may schedule an evaluation by calling 212-305-4695 for Cardiac Rehabilitation and 212-305-0890 for Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Participants are evaluated by a physician specializing in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation.

Our therapy program is in the Fauth Center for Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation on the 3rd Floor of the Vanderbilt Clinic.

The center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
