14th Annual MD-PhD Student Research Symposium

The MD-PhD program's 14th Annual Student Research Symposium will be held on April 25th, 2019.

This year's alumni speaker is Dr. Priya Rajasethupathy, Columbia MD-PhD Class of 2013. She is currently an assistant professor at Rockefeller University and heads the Laboratory of Neural Dynamics and Cognition.

Dr. Rajasethupathy's research lab focuses on understanding neural-circuit mechanisms of memory storage and retrieval in guiding adaptive behavior. The lab explores fundamental questions regarding the distributed nature of memory representation as they form, stabilize, and reorganize over time, an approach that requires the simultaneous monitoring of neural dynamics spanning multiple brain regions over multiple timescales.
