Wendy Chung, MD, PhD

Wendy Chung, MD, PhDDr. Chung is a clinical and molecular geneticist who directs The DISCOVER Program and performs human genetic research. She is the Kennedy Family Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine. Dr. Chung directs NIH-funded research programs in many human genetic conditions including autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, pulmonary hypertension, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, breast cancer, and birth defects such as congenital heart disease and congenital diaphragmatic hernias. She leads the Simons VIP study characterizing genetic forms of autism and works on novel treatments for autism. Elaine Pereira, MD

Elaine Pereira, MDDr. Pereira is a clinical geneticist and an assistant professor of Pediatrics. Her areas of interest include congenital hearing loss, congenital heart conditions, Marfan syndrome, and skeletal dysplasias. Dr. Pereira completed medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric and medical genetics residencies at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Pereira is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, and the American Society of Human Genetics. 

Anah Kim, MHA

Anah Kim, BSAnah Kim serves as the initial contact for patients and their families and is dedicated to providing support for her team, patients and families. She facilitates collaborative meetings between all relevant health care providers for patients with complex conditions to provide a holistic approach in the coordination of care. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and continually strives for improvement in all aspects of healthcare with a focus on quality of patient care.

Ilana Chilton, MS, CGC

Ilana Chilton is a certified genetic counselor who specializes in counseling for inherited pediatric and adult conditions. She received her master's degree in Genetic Counseling from Brandeis University and completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and was a guest lecturer and teaching assistant at Tufts University School of Medicine. Ms. Chilton became a genetic counselor to help translate complex genetic information into understandable and usable language for all individuals. She is passionate about helping those with rare and undiagnosed conditions find answers through genetic medicine while connecting families to resources, medical experts, and innovative research. 

Joanne Carroll, CPNP

Joanne Carroll, CPNPJoanne Carroll is an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner certified in pediatrics. She received her advanced nursing and undergraduate degrees from Columbia University. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State. Ms. Carroll has over 11 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and 15 years as a registered nurse. She has extensive experience working with infants, children and teenagers with medical complexity. Her clinical and educational focus has been to provide safe, efficient and evidence-based care to families and children with health concerns. 

Diana M. Cory, LCSW, MS Ed

Diana M. Cory, LCSW, MS EdDiana M. Cory is a licensed clinical social worker who supports children and families as they navigate new and on-going diagnoses that impact their lives and their emotional health. Ms. Cory has a master’s degree in group work from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work and a master’s degree in elementary/secondary special education. She has worked in pediatric and adult settings from the newborn in the NICU to the pediatric outpatient with diabetes. Ms. Cory believes in working as part of a team to assess the needs of and provide social and emotional counseling to patients who are often wrestling with challenging diagnoses and long-term conditions. Providing patients with guidance and connecting them with resources allows Ms. Cory to encourage meaningful connection between patients and their families in order to best address their overwhelming social and emotional needs.
