Apply to be a Resident Assistant

Thank you for your interest in working with the Office of Housing Service team as a Resident Assistant (RA). The RA Application will be emailed to all residential students on January 26th and will closed on January 30th at 12:00 PM. 

RA Position Requirements

The below-listed requirements must be achieved prior to your start date (June 1, 2026) as an RA should you be offered the position:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exhibit good interpersonal skills
• Show ability to serve as a role model and mentor

Physical Requirements

• Must live in assigned residence hall and room provided
• Will require frequent walking/movement
• Will require frequent climbing of stairs
• Will require moderate or heavy lifting, including moving of equipment/furniture
• Will require frequent typing for extended periods of time
• Will required to be on a rotating on call schedule during time of employment including breaks

Educational and Experience

• Applicants must has lived in CUIMC Housing for at least one year unless have related housing experiences
• It is preferred that the applicant has completed one year of studies at the Medical Center Campus.  Undergraduate experience as a Resident Assistant, Orientation Leader or Student Leader is highly recommended
• Must be a full-time student

RA Training Information

RA Training will be during the week of June 10, 2026 from 9 am - 5pm in person. It is mandatory for all Resident Assistants to be present. Details to follow.
